Holland Beauty Tour – 3 days

Day 1 (Amsterdam – Volendam – Zaanse Schans).

Today we will visit Amsterdam for an extensive excursion. We will see all Amsterdam has to offer, from the historical monuments in the city centre to the modern architecture of the 21st century. For example we will visit the Royal Palace, the National Monument, the Skinny Bridge, and the beautiful houses along the canals. A picture stop at a windmill at the river Amstel and at last but not least a visit to a diamond factory. We continue our excursion to visit the world-famous fishing villages of Volendam. On the way, we will stop at one of the very few cheese farms, where the cheese is still made in the traditional way. Then we move on to visit the windmill village ‘de Zaanse Schans’, with its characteristic green wooden houses. We will be visiting a wooden shoemaker (a clogmaker) here.

Day 2 (Rotterdam – Delft – The Hague).

Today we will visit Rotterdam, our country’s second largest city. During the city tour we will drive along the banks of the river Maas, to the old port and the remarkable yellow cube houses. The literal highlight is the ascend with the Euroscoop, the rotating glass elevator to the top of the Euromast tower. Then on to Delft for lunch and a visit to Royal Delft Blue Pottery factory. After that, we will visit The Hague, driving past the Peace Palace.

Day 3 (Giethoorn – Batavia Stad).

Today we will take you to the picturesque town of Giethoorn. Founded by Mediterranean fugitives in 1230AD, the town is known as the “Venice of the North” because instead of main roads the village famously has only canals. Although bikes are used by locals, the only other way of getting around the city is by boat. Most houses are built on little islands connected to each other with high bridges. After some free time to explore the picturesque village on your own, we will take you back to Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet Village. Batavia Stad is the clever way to shop in style. You can shop til you drop on over 100 retail outlets that offer 30-70% discounts as standard on their collections. And in between shopping, there are plenty of opportunities to simply relax.
